Sheva’s model is to engage with microcredit borrowers in various capacities that include micro lending, adult education, child literacy, women’s legal rights, advocacy and training. As a part of our mission of women empowerment our work begins with grassroots mobilization for awareness building, needs assessment, training, research, and advocacy. A significant portion of Sheva’s grassroots mobilization is comprised of garment factory workers. We engage with multinational companies and brands to improve labor and environmental standards. We conduct research and advocacy campaigns to advance the rights of workers.
